Hiroshima atomic bomb: Survivor recalls horrors – BBC News

Thursday marks 70 years to the day because the United States dropped the world’s first atomic bomb on the Japanese metropolis of Hiroshima. Three days later it dropped a second on the town of Nagasaki. The devastation is broadly believed to have introduced an abrupt finish to World War Two – with Japan’s give up.
